Oracle VM Server for x86 is the server virtualization offering from Oracle Corporation. Oracle VM Server for x86 incorporates the free and open-sourceXenhypervisor technology, supports Windows, Linux, and Solaris[3] guests and includes an integrated Web based management console. Oracle VM Server for x86 features fully tested and certified Oracle Applications stack in an enterprise virtualization environment.[4]
Oracle VM Server for x86 can be freely downloaded through Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.[5] Oracle announced the general availability of Oracle VM 3.4.6 at 30 November 2018.

As of version 3.4.6, Oracle VM Server for x86 can take advantage of up to 384 CPUs (Tested) / 2048 CPUs (Designed), 6TB RAM per server and can host a maximum of 300 VM per server.

I ran into an issue today.
After installing “docker-compose” the docker client does not start anymore.

The docker service would be run if I take off the entrie “unix:///var/run/docker.sock”

Finally, download and install docker: sudo apt-get install docker-engine Ubuntu’s default firewall (UFW: Uncomplicated Firewall) denies all forwarding traffic by default, which is needed by docker. Enable forwarding with UFW: Edit UFW configuration using the nano text editor. Sudo nano /etc/default/ufw. Step 3 – Install Docker Ubuntu. Once the repository is updated, you can install the Docker on Ubuntu by running the following command: apt-get install docker-ce -y. This command will install the latest version of Docker from the Docker official repository. Step 4 – Verify Docker Version. It comes preinstalled with most Linux distributions, but if it can not be found, install it manually with the appropriate command for your OS. # Debian and Ubuntu sudo apt-get install curl # CentOS sudo yum install curl. Use the command below to download and install Docker. Install docker on digitalocean. Here the output: $ sudo journalctl -f -u docker - Logs begin at Tue 2020-12-15 09:24:21 UTC.
